42nd FOUNDATION DAY CELEBRATION

The 42nd Foundation Day of Manabendra Sarma Girls’ College, Rangia was celebrated with great enthusiasm and dignity on 25 August 2026 at the college premises. The programme brought together invited guests, teachers, non-teaching staff, students and members of the college community to commemorate the institution’s journey and its contribution to the field of higher education. The programme commenced with the hoisting of the College Flag by Dr. S. K. Barman, Principal of the College, followed by the ceremonial lighting of the lamp by Mr. Girijananda Bhattacharya, former President, Governing Body of M.S. Girls’ College, and Mrs. P. D. Baishya, HOD, Department of Economics. The objectives and significance of the Foundation Day celebration were addressed by Mr. R. Ch. Nath, Coordinator, IQAC. Thereafter, the Principal warmly welcomed the invited guests, teachers, students and other members of the college community. In his address, the Chief Guest highlighted the importance of education in shaping individuals and building a responsible and progressive society. He also appreciated the contribution of the college towards providing quality education. The celebration also featured a variety of cultural performances by the students, including songs, dances and drama. These performances added colour and enthusiasm to the occasion and showcased the creativity and talents of the students. The Foundation Day celebration provided an opportunity for the entire college community to reflect upon the institution’s journey, achievements and contributions over the years. It also served as a platform to reaffirm the collective commitment towards academic excellence and the continued development of the institution. The programme concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by Dr. Aparajita Sharma, Assistant Professor, Department of Education, expressing gratitude to the invited guests, Principal, faculty members, non-teaching staff, students and all others who contributed to the successful organisation of the celebration. The 42nd Foundation Day celebration concluded successfully in an atmosphere of pride, enthusiasm and togetherness, marking another significant milestone in the journey of Manabendra Sarma Girls’ College, Rangia.
