A programme on “Nasha Mukta Bharat Abhiyan” was organised on 15 August 2026 by the Prajapita Brahma Kumaris Ishwariya Vishwa Vidyalaya, Rangia Centre, in collaboration with Manabendra Sarma Girls’ College, Rangia. The programme commenced with the inauguration by Dr. Sanjib Kumar Barman, Principal, Manabendra Sarma Girls’ College, Rangia, who formally inaugurated the programme by lighting the ceremonial lamp. Following the inauguration, Simran Sharma presented a Ghosha written by Sri Sankar Deva. Thereafter, Dr. Mina Kalita, Convener, Yoga and Meditation Committee, welcomed the gathering and elaborated on the aims and objectives of the programme. Mr. Biren Kalita spoke on the significance of the Nasha Mukta Bharat Abhiyan and highlighted the importance of creating awareness among the youth regarding the harmful effects of addiction. Brahma Kumari Mamoni Behenji delivered an informative lecture on the “Addiction-Free Pledge Mega Campaign”, encouraging the participants to take a firm pledge against substance abuse. Further, Mrs. Prasanna Das Baishya delivered a lecture on addiction, focusing on its adverse impact on individuals, families and society. The programme concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by Dr. Mina Kalita, Convener, Yoga and Meditation Committee, expressing gratitude to all the dignitaries, speakers, organisers and participants for their valuable presence and contribution to the successful conduct of the programme. The programme was successfully conducted with the objective of promoting awareness and encouraging the students and members of society to work towards a healthy, responsible and addiction-free India.
